For those that have been following along for quite a while may have seen my original ottoman makeover. This beauty of an ottoman surprisingly enough use to be a table…that I made in high school shop class. (Or maybe my shop teacher mostly made it! 🙂 ) I originally completely this project when we first moved into our home. I chose to go with an outdoor fabric because I had a little one…now I have two little ones! I really loved how it looked but it was starting to show stains and wear and tear so it was time to give it an update. Plus I was looking for something a little different in style. Read More

I hope everyone is having a great December and getting excited for the Holidays coming up! I’m so excited to be spending them with our new beautiful little girl and as a family of four! Next week I will share with you a little bit more about our newest addition to the family and some photos! I’m getting really excited for New Years Eve as I can finally have a few cocktails that I’ve been missing these past 9 months. I will still need to take it easy as we have a little one but I’m aloud to indulge a little! I worked hard the past 9 months! 🙂
Last year for New Year’s Eve we did a progressive dinner with all of our neighbors. It’s such a fun way to mix things up and get out of the house a little! I obviously love to decorate and my husband is the cook so we are a great combo! I compiled a list of some really great decor, dines and DIYs for your New Year’s Eve celebrations this year! It’s a few weeks away but it’s never too early to get prepared!Read More

In about a week, give or take a few days, I’m hoping to be sitting in our nursery with a brand new baby in my arms! It has been a long road getting to where we are and I couldn’t be more thankful this year for bringing new life into this world. I can’t wait to bring our daughter home to big sister, Lucy, and my husband. What a blessing the gift of life is! We have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday!
The past 6 weeks I have been participating in the One Room Challenge and I took on the challenge of giving our 3rd bedroom upstairs a makeover. This is the only room in the house we haven’t painted and we weren’t planning to until we got pregnant. We didn’t see the point in painting the walls when we knew we would in the not too distant future.Read More
