I had a very specific vision for my daughter’s room when I was designing it. I wanted it to be girly with touches of silver and soft pink. When Lucy was born we lived in a small apartment in California and we weren’t allowed to paint the walls so I really wanted to accent the room with silver and light pink. Lucy’s bedroom was also the guest room. 🙂 Here a few pictures of Lucy’s room in California. She never slept in this room as she was in a bassinet in our room until we moved when she was 2 months old. I never realized until we purchased our home how much new light fixtures can make a difference! I’ve never really paid attention to lighting in homes since we’ve been renting for such a long time. Our house had decent lights but they weren’t my style or taste. All of the globes on the fixtures had a yellow/gold tint so it made the room darker than it already was. Painting the walls and getting brighter fixtures have made a worlds difference. Below are the previous lights in our house.Read More
Over the Holidays I went to Iowa to celebrate Christmas with my family. I wanted to do something creative for a present for my niece and nephew. They are both currently obsessed with legos so I thought it would be fun for them to have a lego table. I brought the idea up to my sister and she thought that they would love it. She had an old table at her house that I could use. I was planning on buying a cheap one on Craigslist so I was happy to get one for free from my sister! 🙂
I hope everyone had an amazing Holiday Break. I apologize I have been MIA the past week or two. We have been traveling fools! We went to California to spend Christmas with my husband’s family for 8 days and then we came home and celebrated New Years Eve with some friends and then traveled to Iowa for my family’s Christmas. It has definitely been go-go-go, but so much fun!
Here are some photos of our trip to California and our Christmas fun…
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I hope everyone is having a great Holiday! We headed to California to spend Christmas with my in-laws. We arrived on Friday evening and the San Diego airport was a complete mess. Lucy would not sleep on the plane so she was pretty exhausted when we arrived. Saturday morning my husband and I headed up to Orange County to spend the day with friends. I had quartet rehearsal all day with my brand new quartet! We had so much fun learning music and we even had our first gig!Read More
