Last year we hosted Easter at our house and I wanted to do a few things to make the house festive. We were still living in our rented townhome and lots of things were still packed away. I didn’t have too many Easter decorations so I thought that I would make some of my own. I had seen some banners on Etsy that I absolutely loved but I knew that I could make it myself!Read More
So this isn’t the first time this has been done and it has been seen around Pinterest. I originally saw this post by Arte & Manha’s blog post. I wanted to give it a try and I figured why not blog about it! I wanted to make my own decorative balls to put into a vase. I used all of my corks, which were in one of my vases, to decorate some other balls. Apparently, I’m really into decorating styrofoam balls lately. Haha! Check out my previous post, on Cork Decor. I wanted to take a stab at some tacky decor this time!Read More
Hi everyone! I apologize for being MIA the past week. I have been in Colorado visiting some friends and also rehearsing with my new quartet, Delilah! I belong to an organization called Sweet Adelines International. I would love to share with you a little bit about my hobby and passion for Barbershop music!
First off, my mom is the reason I am doing this blog. As I grew up I watched my mom refurbish furniture, decorate her home and paint anything and everything! She was the one who taught me the ins and outs of DIY. She’s amazing at what she does and inspires me through every project I do!
If you follow me on Instagram you have seen bits and pieces of the progress of the playroom in our basement. When we first moved into our home we didn’t have enough furniture to fill the spaces so our basement was left alone for a while and became kind of a storage unit. We didn’t have a dining room table so I made a make shift playroom in the dining room. It worked perfectly since we spent pretty much all of our time in the upper level of our house.
