Hey everyone I’m here today to share a little bit more in detail about my kitchen transformation. I shared the final reveal here but I didn’t really tell you how it all went down. I collaborated with HomeRight and Sherwin-Williams to create this beautiful transformation and I want to thank them for working with me on this project. I shared this post over on HomeRight’s site in June. Be prepared for another novel because apparently it’s my thing lately! 🙂 I don’t want you to miss out any details on what I think is the best way to paint your kitchen cabinets!Read More
To paint or not to paint? That is the question. 🙂 So I’m really struggling with (as I’m sure you’ve heard me say) whether to paint my kitchen cabinets or not. Before we moved into our home I was going to paint all of the woodwork and cabinets white. No questions. Then family members and my husband have encouraged me to live with it for a while before I make any drastic changes. I also think about how Nicole Curtis never paints wood and keeps it original. And she’s from Minneapolis too! (My home is not nearly as old though as the homes she works on though….)
I don’t feel like white cabinets will go out of style. Case in point…my mom painted her cabinets white 18 years ago and it’s still in style. I just love the look that white cabinets bring to a kitchen, it’s crisp, clean and helps brighten up a room.
I have always wanted to do a project with corks because well….I love wine! I have always kept my corks after finishing a bottle and they have been collecting for quite some time now. There are millions of cork projects on Pinterest and I felt I should just add to the list! 🙂
I’m not in love with my kitchen cabinets but I am living with it for a while and not painting them white because I know how large of a task it is. Plus once you paint them it’s really hard to go back to the original wood. With that being said I have wanted to make a lot of minor changes in my kitchen to update it. Something small that I did and has made a huge difference is changing out the knobs on all the cabinets and drawers.
So I’m pretty excited because yesterday I was tagged on Facebook for my blog! A friend of mine from Colorado was inspired by Tile Transformation post and decided to remodel their kitchen based on reading my post! They had some tile inspiration! 🙂 I was so happy and honored to have helped someone in some way! This was the whole reason for my blog. So many other bloggers inspire me and I’m so glad I could do the same for someone!Read More
