11 children’s picnic table DIYs to inspire you for your summer entertaining.  Why can’t the little ones celebrate in style just like the adults?  Adorable and quick tutorials to add to your outdoor decor.

It is officially summer, even though I look out the window and it’s raining here in Minnesota.  I’m looking forward to spending more time outside with my family and enjoying the nice weather.  Well…when it decides to pop it’s head out here in the Midwest.

We love to entertain and spend time outside on our deck.  My husband loves to BBQ.  We have been working on a deck extension this past month so now entertaining is even more on our brains!

We have two little girls and we love for them to feel comfortable and have fun when we have guests at our house.  A few years ago I got my hands on an old Little Tikes picnic table and I gave it a makeover.

I thought I’d share my two makeovers as well as some other adorable children’s picnic table makeovers with you today!

This is the second time I've redone this old beat up Little Tikes picnic table. This one is very bright and fun. It wasn't my plan but it ended up that I had the Flintstones in mind when creating this design! Ha!

Quick Children's Picnic Table Makeover

I made over this adorable little picnic table for a friend this past week. Check below for a quick tutorial!

One of my neighbors had an old wooden picnic table that was left at their house when they bought it.  The previous owners had teenage children so this table had to be quite old.

It needed a little TLC so I said I’d help her out with the makeover.  I started out by giving the table a good sand with my Ryobi Orbital Sander.

The next step was to prime the picnic table.  This wood was old so I knew that it was going to soak up the paint.  And that it did!white primed picnic table sitting on green grass

The next obvious step was to paint it with my HomeRight Finish Max Super.  This is one of my go-to tools for any paint project!

The 5 Best Tools for Any Furniture Makeover

A compilation of my favorite tools when painting any type of furniture!

I loaded up my sprayer and got to painting!  It was completely painted in 5-10 minutes!  The HomeRight Finish Max Super is so great for projects like this because it really helps to get into all the nooks and crannies of the table.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you are all having a fabulous summer.  I would love for you to stick around join my newsletter.

We have a big deck overhaul project going on right now.  I can’t wait to share it with you all next month!  So stay tuned!

mother holding baby in the air and going for a kiss

My name is Ruthie, I was born and raised in the Midwest.  I met the man of my dreams in Nashville, TN and decided to follow him back home to California.  First came love, then came marriage, then came the baby in the baby carriage.  My husband got a new job when my daughter was 2 months old and we packed up and moved halfway across the country to Minnesota, back to my homeland. We now have two beautiful little girls.
