Christmas Kitchen Home Tour

December is right around the corner and my favorite holiday is about to arrive!  A room in my house that I love to decorate is my kitchen.  I find it very important to decorate it simplistically because it’s a high traffic area…especially during the Holidays.

I can’t tell you how many loads of dishes I did over Thanksgiving.

I’m so excited to be joining a whole slew of talented bloggers today for the Christmas Kitchen Home Tour.  A special thanks to Tammy at Pink Peppermint Design for hosting and arranging it all!

Our kitchen has gone through lots of changes in the past 4 years we have lived in our home.  I’ve painted the kitchen cabinets, painted the tile backsplash, replaced the flooring, replaced the appliances and have added and changed many of the decorative touches.

I’m loving touches of copper currently so it was fun to incorporate that into my holiday decor.  I’m obsessed with my new copper fruit basket from Crate and Barrel.  Unfortunately, the ornaments didn’t last long in the basket as it was replaced with real-life food for my family!

One of my favorite Christmas decor items in my kitchen is the garland all around the top of my cabinets.  I purchased them very cheaply at Big Lots.  They sparkle and have pinecones throughout.  They are very beautiful in person!

I recently painted my KitchenAid Mixer and I absolutely love how it turned out!  You would have no idea in person that it was painted.  So, of course, I had to add some decorative touches to it!

I’m anxious to get started with our advent calendar and get some baking done for the Holidays.  I hope everyone has a great rest of your week!  Don’t forget to check out all the beautiful Christmas Kitchens below!

So pretty. I love the touches of copper and painting the mixer, how genius.

My name is Ruthie, I was born and raised in the Midwest.  I met the man of my dreams in Nashville, TN and decided to follow him back home to California.  First came love, then came marriage, then came the baby in the baby carriage.  My husband got a new job when my daughter was 2 months old and we packed up and moved halfway across the country to Minnesota, back to my homeland. We now have two beautiful little girls.
