Hey everyone!  I’m helping out a friend who is about to have a baby any day now by guest posting over on her page!  Lindi from Love Create Celebrate has a beautiful blog with lots of amazing DIY projects.  I’m honored to be contributing to her blog today!

Recently, I did a post all about creating a beautiful fall tablescape with neutral colors.  I also created a super delicious recipe for the post as well, Pecan Pie Spice Cake.  For the full tutorial and recipe you can find it here.  I really wanted to display my cake on the table but didn’t have a cake stand.  I asked all of my neighbors if they had one I could borrow and no one seemed to have one.  So…I decided to make my own!

For the full tutorial on how to make your own DIY cake stand head on over to Love Create Celebrate. It’s the beginning of a pretty busy week for me but I’m so excited for everything that I have to share with you! Tomorrow I have a gorgeous Halloween tablescape tutorial on the blog.  Halloween doesn’t always have to be scary and ugly!  Why not have some friends over and make it a fun and beautiful evening!?

My name is Ruthie, I was born and raised in the Midwest.  I met the man of my dreams in Nashville, TN and decided to follow him back home to California.  First came love, then came marriage, then came the baby in the baby carriage.  My husband got a new job when my daughter was 2 months old and we packed up and moved halfway across the country to Minnesota, back to my homeland. We now have two beautiful little girls.
