Happy Friday everyone!! I’m here today to share some of my favorite paint colors with you, in fact they are the paint colors all around my home! I’m a creature of habit and I tend to stick to colors I like. Why not when you know they look good and go well with other colors and hues?! I’m a big fan of Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore paints so that’s pretty much what I use in my home. I am going to share with you the inside and out color scheme of my home! I’m going to break it down to the inside of my house and the outside of my house and then the in betweens.
A large chunk of my house is painted Requisite Gray by Sherwin-Williams. I believe it to be the best gray color on the market. It’s a warm gray -not cold like a lot of grays can feel. I would say it’s on the taupe side of gray rather than a bluish side. This color is in all the main living areas of our home as our floor plan is quite open. I also put it in our master bedroom because it goes great with all different colors.
We will move into our guest room and I painted. I used two different paint colors for this room. We had to repaint all of our ceilings in our home and I didn’t want to mess with cutting in so I used the same flat Extra White paint on the walls of our guest room. I do like the look of flat paint but I am slightly regretting it because it gets dinged up pretty easily…even for a room that is rarely used. I then used one of Sherwin-Williams most popular black colors to stencil the wall and paint the stripes in the closet.
Next I will discuss my daughter’s room. This was the first room we painted in our home as I wanted my daughter (and myself) to feel settled. I went with the color White Dogwood by Sherwin-Williams and I just love this color. Just like I think the gray is the perfect gray I truly believe this is the perfect pink. It’s light, feminine and not too bubblegumish. (Is that a word?) I also added a touch of sparkle by adding Valspar Paint Crystals to the gallon of paint. I love the touch of sparkle it adds to my daughter Lucy’s Nursery.

I’m currently working on the new nursery for our future daughter and I can’t wait to update this and share the beautiful outcome of her room! I will be sharing the final reveal of her nursery in the One Room Challenge that starts next month! I’m also crazy and doing another room reveal for this Fall’s One Room Challenge. I had intended to do this last spring but I was newly pregnant and having a difficult pregnancy so I had to back out. I do want to share the beautiful color that I’m painting the walls in our main bathroom in our home. I’m loving the color Constellation by Benjamin Moore. It’s a beautiful change of color in my home and it’s part of their Aura Bath & Spa Collection. I can’t wait to share the outcome of both of these rooms in October!
The other main color that found in my home is Zurich White by Sherwin-Williams. We moved into a home with oak woodwork, trim and cabinetry. From the beginning I knew I wanted to paint it white. Although I will say at times the woodwork has grown on me as the paint colors I have chosen have made the wood color really pop. Although, that has changed now and I’m slowly painting all of the woodwork in my home. It all started when I painted my kitchen cabinets. I’m so glad I conquered that task – it turned out really nice. I have now moved to the cabinets in my bathroom and the woodwork in the nursery. It’s a huge project so I’m taking it room by room right now.
Let’s move outdoors and I’ll show you the few items we have painted outside. I’ll be honest and say we haven’t done a ton to the outside of our house because I’ve been focusing on the inside but I do have a couple small projects that we love! We just recently painted our deck with Benjamin Moore Floor and Patio Latex Enamel in Low Sheen in Light Gray. It matches our house so much better than the previous red stain that was on our deck. I also gave our front door a small facelift and painted it Backdrop by Sherwin Williams.
Now I’m about as obsessed with this color as I am Requisite Gray….Accessible Beige by Sherwin-Williams. I love the warm tone to the color and I love that’s it’s white with beige undertones. It’s a lot creamier than beige which I love! I have have used it within a few projects throughout my house: kitchen table, DIY ottoman and master bedroom shelf.
I’m getting ready to do a mini makeover of my master bedroom before baby arrives and I can’t wait to redo my furniture. I want a more bedroom set kind of look so I’m painting all of my furniture White Dove by Benjamin Moore. I’m using their Natura Zero-VOC and Zero Emissions paint since I’m expecting. I do wear a mask but it’s nice to know that the paint is healthy for me and my babe! I can’t wait to share the reveal with you all!
I’ve started working with chalk paint a little bit as well and I do like it a lot! It is a little bit different of a technique and it’s a learning curve for me but it’s fun! I love being able to be knowledgeable on all types of paint! I started with White Linen by Chalkworthy. I’ve had fun making over an IKEA dresser in a Stemware Storage/Bar area for my dining room, my daughter’s big girl bed headboard and the dresser in her room as well. I haven’t shared my daughter’s room progress yet so stay tuned! 🙂
Last but not least, I want to share with you a pop of color I wanted for my living room. I loved the boldness of this color and I love how it really pops in our living room. I went with Cliveden Pasture by Valspar. I love mixing green and blue in our living room and this table really helps it all tie together perfectly! I also shared a great tutorial on how to distress a table the easy way!
So there is just a “few” colors throughout my home! Have you used any of these colors? What’s your favorite go to color in your home?
