If you are new here, on Friday I love to share some of my favorite things with you. It could be related to a holiday that is coming up, it could be a list of some of my favorites DIYs, to even my favorite bathroom products. If there is a list you’d like me to make message me here!

Planner

Most people start out a new year wanting to be more organized. I have always been a fairly organized person but haven’t been able to keep my schedules straight.

About 6 months ago I discovered bullet journaling and fell deeply and madly in love. I loved the creativity behind it all and it helped keep me organized.

My mission for winter break was to get a lot of bullet journaling completed. I wanted to create my own bullet journal for all of my blogging endeavors. Unfortunately, the more I worked on it I wasn’t enjoying it as much. I think trying to create an entire journal at once wasn’t the best choice. I enjoyed it more when I created pages sporadically.

A friend of mine had just purchased a planner from Plum Paper so I thought I’d give it a look.  They just didn’t have all the detail I was wanting.  I wanted to combine my personal life and work life in one journal.

Fineliner Markers

These are my favorite fine point markers when journaling.  The colors are super vibrant and they last a long time!

Washi Tape

I love, love, love washi tape!  It is a great way to quickly add color and texture to your planner.  There are so many different sizes, colors, and patterns!  They can be used for so many different things besides your planner too!  I used them to decorate pumpkins this Fall.  Here are a couple of my favorite washi tapes that you can buy on Amazon.

Stickers

Stickers are a must have, especially if you want to add some color to your planner!  It’s a great way to stay organized.  You can get to do lists, inspirational quotes and even fitness tracking stickers.  You can even make your own if you have a Cricut!  I made some of my own and you can see the full tutorial here.  Here are a few of my favorite stickers you can get on Amazon.

Staedtler Mars Eraser

This little eraser is amazing!  It will erase every little piece of pencil written on the page!  I use a pencil a lot to draw or write out things in my planner and then go over it with a marker.  I then use the Staedtler Mars Eraser over top of the marker to get rid of any of the pencil that is showing through!  a floral planner on top of a marble counter with an erase and black and clear mechanical pencil on top

Let me know if you have any questions!  I’m still learning all the ins and out of planners and organizations!  Let’s learn together!

My name is Ruthie, I was born and raised in the Midwest.  I met the man of my dreams in Nashville, TN and decided to follow him back home to California.  First came love, then came marriage, then came the baby in the baby carriage.  My husband got a new job when my daughter was 2 months old and we packed up and moved halfway across the country to Minnesota, back to my homeland. We now have two beautiful little girls.
