10 Outdoor Decor Ideas - www.refashionablylate.comI never really thought about outdoor decor until we bought a house.  I’ve always lived in apartments where everything was taken care of and the landscaping was beautiful.  Our landscaping is pretty nice but does need a little updating.  (Isn’t that what I say about everything in this house?!)  Last summer my husband and I planted a hydrangea tree in our front yard and two hydrangea bushes.  Our hydrangea tree was planted in honor of a close family friend who lost their life way too soon.  I love that I get to look outside every day and think about him…our “Steve Tree.”

We are slowly making improvements and I’m anxious to give our outdoors a little bit of a facelift.  Here are a few of my favorite outdoor decor ideas that I’d love to recreate!

1. DIY Fire Pit Cover & Game Table

2. Concrete Plant Holders

3. Lanterns For the Patio

4. Build a Patio Table with Built-In Ice Buckets

Is this not amazing!?!

5. DIY Outdoor Chalkboard Tutorial

6. Staining A Cement Walkway

7. DIY Outdoor Rug

8. DIY Cedar Bench

9. How to Build a Tree House

10. DIY Criss Cross Outdoor Planters

All of these things I would love to add to my outdoor decor.  They would all look beautiful and really add so much to our outdoor space.  Obviously, it’s not all going to happen this summer but we will surely get a start on it!

Thankfully, the weekend is one day away!  We don’t have a ton of plans.  I think we are going to head to the Sea Life Aquarium at the Mall of America and see some shishis (fishies).  I’m sure there will be some projects done around the house as well!  Happy weekend!

    Ruthie,

I love all these ideas! Especially the white crisscross planters! I’ve been doing cement work all week and they would look great with my new project! Thanks for sharing!

Oh my gosh I love every single one of these and have decided I definitely need a bigger back yard so I can make all of these. I think I’ll start with the chalkboard for my boys though since they like to color so much! Thanks for sharing all these great ideas!!

That lantern idea makes a lot of sense. Especially if you choose a strong neutral color against a brighter scheme like in your picture. Design is all about contrast.

My name is Ruthie, I was born and raised in the Midwest.  I met the man of my dreams in Nashville, TN and decided to follow him back home to California.  First came love, then came marriage, then came the baby in the baby carriage.  My husband got a new job when my daughter was 2 months old and we packed up and moved halfway across the country to Minnesota, back to my homeland. We now have two beautiful little girls.
