My Personal Style - www.refashionablylate.comHere we are for our sixth and final month of Behind the Blogger. My friend Jess from Domicile 37 asked myself and a few other talented bloggers to join in and talk about our design style, tips and more about our life behind the blog. It has been so much fun getting to know these girls more closely and learning more about their styles and décor ideas. Every day these girls motivate and inspire me and I’m privileged to be beside them on this journey together.

If you have missed any of the previous installments you can check them out here:

This month Jess asked us what our personal style says about our design style. This is super hard and I’m kind of at a loss at how to describe my style. I wouldn’t say I have a set style of décor like Farmhouse, eclectic, modern or so on. I typically find things or styles I like and bunch them all together. If I had to pinpoint down a style I’d say I like traditional elements with splashes of sophistication and modern lines. (Transitional/Vintage)

My daily self dresses in yoga pants and is hanging out with my daughter all day.  Although…my yoga pants are slowly transitioning to LuLaRoe!  If you have never tried it I highly recommend it!  The most amazing fabric known to man! 🙂 When I do get dressed I love to get dolled up. I love anything with diamonds and pearls, if I could I would love to mimic Audrey Hepburn’s style. I love the classic look to her clothes and interior design.  I’m also jeans and tank top kind of girl with a cover-up!  My dress code is simple and I feel my design is simple as well.  I don’t go crazy with my home decor choices.  Maybe I play it safe…too safe?!

My design style does have a mixture of my everyday dress because I love the look of simple yet beautiful items with a touch of glamor.  I always love to glam something up!  Here are a few of the different decor styles that I have done throughout the years.

I love to dress up and dress down and I think it fits my home perfectly.  I am a little bit of everything and I love that my house is styled in that way too.  I do what feels right in each and every room.  I take time and think through the plan for the room and I’m happy with the outcome of my home!  What’s important is that you love your home and you feel happy when you are in it!  Your hard work and energy put into your home only make it that much more special!  Home is where the heart is right?!

My name is Ruthie, I was born and raised in the Midwest.  I met the man of my dreams in Nashville, TN and decided to follow him back home to California.  First came love, then came marriage, then came the baby in the baby carriage.  My husband got a new job when my daughter was 2 months old and we packed up and moved halfway across the country to Minnesota, back to my homeland. We now have two beautiful little girls.
