One Room Challenge Week 5: Nursery Progress - www.refashionablylate.com

I’ve switched things up this week and decided to share the nursery progress first.  Frankly, I just needed some more time with the Bathroom as more work needed to be done this week.  So here we are at week 5 of the One Room Challenge and I’m so excited to share with you some beautiful lighting today.

If you missed the previous weeks, catch up here:

Nursery

Week 1  |  Week 2  |  Week 3  |  Week 4

Something that I have loved doing in my home is changing out all of the light fixtures.  One of my very first posts to this blog (excuse some of the poorly taken photos) was all about lights.  In Love With Lights.  That is where my obsession of changing lights began.  It really changes the look and feel of a room.  My husband has pretty much become a professional at wiring new light fixtures and we’ve had some tricky wiring issues in our house.  For some assistance on changing a light fixture click here for a tutorial.

I decided to get a light from Lamps Plus because they have so many beautiful lights and they are the nation’s largest lighting retailer.  That means tons of options! 🙂  I wanted something whimsical for the nursery and I defintely wanted some type of crystal chandelier.  I wasn’t sure I wanted a hanging chandelier so when I came across this light I knew it would be perfect for the space.

This is the Bretton Silver Shade 16″ Wide Crystal Ceiling Light and it compliments my nursery perfectly. The light is so much more gorgeous in person and everyone so far has commented on its beauty when they’ve come into the room.  Unfortunately this light is currently out of stock but don’t worry it may come back in stock! Click here to see similar lights.  (It’s back in stock and you can find it here!)

I also wanted to get a little night light for the room as the black out drapes I have really do black out the room! 🙂  I loved the Maize Clear Chandelier Night Light and thought it went well with the ceiling light! We are turning around a pretty girly room here! I think my husband’s life will be full of pink and crystals for the years to come!

A Successful Thanksgiving! 21

The nursery is absolutely stunning! I love the chandelier and even the night light! It is a nursery that is ethereal and made for a princess! You have done so much work! We have to replace all of our outlets in our house too and it is such a laborious process! Good luck on the last week! I cannot wait to see your final reveal!

My name is Ruthie, I was born and raised in the Midwest.  I met the man of my dreams in Nashville, TN and decided to follow him back home to California.  First came love, then came marriage, then came the baby in the baby carriage.  My husband got a new job when my daughter was 2 months old and we packed up and moved halfway across the country to Minnesota, back to my homeland. We now have two beautiful little girls.
