Sleeping with a Peace of Mind

Sleeping with a Piece of Mind - www.refashionablylate.com

So I’m going to go a little deep in this post.  I’m going to share something with my readers that I don’t know I would have shared before.  Everyone that’s a mother knows the worries that come along with it. Especially a first time Mom!  I will say my nerves have been eased up a bit the second time around as I’ve done this before.  But that doesn’t mean I still don’t worry.

To add to that worry, I have OCD.  OCD is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.  Long story short, I worry more than the typical person.  It’s a lot better than when I was little as I have it controlled with medication but I do still worry.  This is where the Owlet Monitor comes in handy.  This little monitor helps track your baby’s oxygen levels and heart rate by using pulse oximetry.  It’s like the little thing that clamps on your finger while you are in the hospital but it’s in a little foot booty form for this monitor.  The monitor comes with a Base Station, 3 Smart Sock sizes, Sock electronics and exclusive access to the Owlet App.

Like I said before, this device helps track your baby’s oxygen levels and heart rate and is designed to notify you if their levels are out of the preset range.  It will notify you through the base station and through your phone app. It gives you peace of mind and helps you have a more restful sleep.  I’m constantly worried if my baby is okay in the middle of the night.  I will wake up and check to make sure she is breathing.  I don’t have to do this as often anymore because I know her levels are great because of the Owlet Monitor.

All of your baby’s levels are shown live through the app and you can check to make sure they are in range at any time your baby is wearing their Smart Sock.  It fits great under footie pajamas which is great for the cold winter months in Minnesota.

I wish I would have had this with my first daughter as I was extra worried with her.  I’m very thankful to have it this time around and make sure my baby girl is happy and healthy.  It really helps ease my mind and not worry as much.  This OCD Mama is happy about that!

Thank you to Owlet for providing this amazing monitor that has made me worry less and sleep better!  I worked hard for this little girl and I want to make sure nothing happens to her.  I have the two most beautiful girls in the world, I know I’m biased, and I want to make sure they grow up strong and healthy!

*REMEMBER – this monitor is just designed to notify you when your baby’s levels aren’t in check and then it’s up to you as a parent to decide what the next steps are to making sure your baby is okay.*A Successful Thanksgiving! 21

Great post! Worrying is definitely amplified when you have a little one. I think any product that can help both parents and baby sleep better is worth it! Thanks for sharing.

I love when there is one less thing to worry about because you worry all the time as a parent! 🙂

My name is Ruthie, I was born and raised in the Midwest.  I met the man of my dreams in Nashville, TN and decided to follow him back home to California.  First came love, then came marriage, then came the baby in the baby carriage.  My husband got a new job when my daughter was 2 months old and we packed up and moved halfway across the country to Minnesota, back to my homeland. We now have two beautiful little girls.
