St. Patrick's Day Quick DIY Banner - www.refashionablylate.com

Hey everyone!!  I realize I just posted yesterday but I wanted to share this quick tutorial with everyone so you have time to make your own banner before St. Patrick’s Day!  I wanted to add a little background decor to my St. Patrick’s Day tablescape and so I came up with this quick and easy banner.

Here are the products you need:

  1. Burlap Squares
  2. Shamrock Cut Outs
  3. Silver Chevron Burlap Roll (or your own choice of burlap roll)
  4. Jute Twine
  5. Hot Glue Gun
  6. Scissors

I started by cutting the burlap roll so that it was the same length as the burlap squares.St. Patrick's Day Quick DIY Banner - www.refashionablylate.com

Once those were of equal length then I used the hot glue gun and glued the shamrocks onto the burlap squares.St. Patrick's Day Quick DIY Banner - www.refashionablylate.com

You may want to set it on a paper towel or piece of paper when adhering the burlap and shamrock as it can seep through the burlap.  I was planning to use a paper hole punch to make holes but I couldn’t seem to find mine.  Another easy way to create a hole is to fold the burlap in half towards the top and use scissors to cut a small slit.  Then take the jute twine and put your banner together!St. Patrick's Day Quick DIY Banner - www.refashionablylate.com

How is that for a quick and easy tutorial?St. Patrick's Day Quick DIY Banner - www.refashionablylate.com

This is very cute, you could even make a similar one with paper bags and a hole punch, the one you made could be reused but the paper bag version (which also COULD be reused) could be more of a temporary thing with supplies someone has on hand (I always have paper lunch bags, they’re so useful!)

My name is Ruthie, I was born and raised in the Midwest.  I met the man of my dreams in Nashville, TN and decided to follow him back home to California.  First came love, then came marriage, then came the baby in the baby carriage.  My husband got a new job when my daughter was 2 months old and we packed up and moved halfway across the country to Minnesota, back to my homeland. We now have two beautiful little girls.
